The Port of Kotor is a very convenient embarkation as well as transit port. It offers easy access to Mediterranean waters thanks to the geographical position of the port on the crossroad between the Adriatic and the rest of the Mediterranean (18°46΄36˝E /42°26΄27˝N)..
The port of Kotor is naturally protected, through the relief of the Bay, from unpleasant weather conditions. A very high number of windless days per year, a very calm sea surface results in excellent maritime conditions for the yachts berthing at the port.
Port is open for 24 h. .
Port has an operational and service coast 512,60 m long toward the inland aquatorium and 153 m long toward Škurda river. Kotor has a status of a permanent border crossing where all customs regulations are carried out during 24 hours. .

Anchorages - For bigger ships anchorage is located on the distance of 1 nautical mile NW from the lighthouse in Sv Stasije, on depth of cca 30 m, SW or N off the church St. Mathew, on depth of cca 16 m. Smaller ships can anchor W and SW off the port light on the quay, on depths from 14 – 17 m (good holding ground). .
Tidal range and flow - 0,4 m. .

Access to the Port by ship boats: is allowed after consultation with port authorities. .
Tugs are available upon request. .
Pilotage is compulsory for vessels exceeding 1000 BRT. Outer pilot station is located on 42°23' N and 18°33,4'E, inner pilot station in bad weather conditions is located on 42° 26,4' N and 18° 32,8'E.
